Fast Food Drive 2023
Hello friends! Our 8th Annual 21-day “Fast” Food Drive kicks off on November 1st!
From Nov. 1-21, we invite you to join us to “fast” a meal, daily coffee fix, or whatever else God places on your heart. You will receive daily prayer points on the topics below. Your donated funds support programs that empower the Body of Christ to engage with the people of NK.
This year we are seeking to:
(1) authentically nurture new and budding friendships centered on
God’s heart for North Korea as one cohesive body, honoring &
nourishing our many parts;
(2) encourage and support more prayer for North Korea through the
lens of Great Harvest values via a 24-7 prayer wall app/resource
we are developing;
(3) allow God to form us deeply in life-giving and intentional
community as we ponder the implications of Great Harvest values
through the six formations: personal, relational, cultural,
spiritual, vocational, and the Christ-Centered Unity
Paradigm.
Your donations will fund:
(1) a retreat for the 50+ Empower 2023 South Korean young adult
volunteers as God nurtures their hearts towards North Koreans
($15,000);
(2) development of a virtual prayer wall (app/site) to pray for
North Korea 24/7 ($20,000);
(3) Formations/Reah community retreat including the new cohort of
Formation Fellows in February 2024 ($15,000).
To receive our devotionals and prayer topics during the drive, please email prayer@reah.org. You can also follow our prayer points on Facebook and Instagram. Thank you for your prayers and support!
You may also choose to give regularly toward the Reah general fund. The fundraising drive will continue through Giving Tuesday (November 28th), but donations will be accepted on an on-going basis until the end of the year.
Great Harvest 2027
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up” (Galatians 6:9). Great Harvest 2027 is a call to the church to unite and collaborate for the opening of North Korea. The Great Harvest has two components:
1. First is the preparation and training of culturally, personally, relationally, spiritually, and vocationally mature Christians embodying the values of unity, healing, and reconciliation.
2. The second component is to strategically adopt one of the 27 major cities of North Korea and begin praying and preparing for the harvest. The projects are a means to healing and reconciliation on the peninsula following the values of unity, healing, and reconciliation.
By preparing a workforce and strategically preparing for a holistic city development, we hope to be ready when North Korea opens up for foreign investment
Jamie Kim and Family
Hello friends,
My name is Jamie Kim and I am the director of Reah International.
The word for me in 2022 is from Isaiah 52:2 Enlarge the
place of your tent,
stretch your tent curtains wide, do
not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes.
For me and Reah, I believe that we are to enlarge our ministry from mainly serving the field to serving the church, the body of Christ. Reah's role is to equip and empower the church to train and disciple their members for ministry, local and global.
There is a role for the whole body of Christ in global engagement. As the pandemic has shown, we can work remotely and be just as effective if we are creative and diligent. There is a place and a role for you whether you are on the field, preparing to go, or in your home country. This can happen as the body of Christ works together to support a flourishing quality of life in North Korea. Let's pray and work together to support a flourishing quality of life in North Korea and beyond!
Membership Drive
Advance Reah’s vision for unity and collaboration with your membership. Your monthly tax-deductible gift of $10 or more will help support Reah’s work to unite and foster collaboration to engage North Korea more effectively and advance the church’s role in the unification of the Korean peninsula. Examples of various initiatives and projects that your donation will support under each membership category.

On #GivingTuesday 2020, we are looking for the first 50 "Founding Members" of Reah International. Becoming a Founding Member would mean that you would commit to pray with and for us and give a monthly pledge of $50 or more in support of what Reah stands for and what we desire to do. More specifically, over the next seven years, Reah's goals are:
1. To gather and unite all Western Christian organizations and churches engaged in North Korea work; 2. To gather and unite South Korean churches and organizations which desire to collaborate with Western organizations and churches for North Korea work.
One way we will do this is through the Great Harvest 2027 - a call to the global Church to collaboratively train the next generation to be communities of healing and reconciliation in the 27 major cities of North Korea by 2027; please go to www.greatharvest2027.com for more information!
Field Workers Fund
Many of the field workers are highly educated and competent people in their fields. They have given up their comfortable living and financial security in their homelands to give their lives for the work inside. Due to the pioneering nature of the work inside, many things cannot be anticipated. This project will enable us to support these workers in special needs as they arise.
Fast Food Drive
The "Fast Food Drive" is a 21-day fasting, prayer, and giving campaign, taking place from November 1-21, 2022. In addition to gathering pledges for fasting and giving (with the options to give one-time or regularly), there will be 21 days of devotionals around SURRENDER. Surrendering to God’s will, ways, and understanding, not our own. This year we will pray and fast through three topics, one for each week:
• Empower South Korea 2023
• Fellows Formations Program: praying for the 2 current cohorts
• River of Ahava: a pilgrimage practicum to understand the heart history of Korea.
Please join us as we use the 21-day devotionals as a guide to pray. LIKE us on Facebook (search: Reah International) or send an email to prayer@reah.org. requesting to receive the devotionals.
Our fundraising focus this year is the Formations Discipleship Retreat, slated for January 20-22, 2023 in Malibu, California, and the River of Ahava (RoA) Practicum in Korea for July 3-15. The funds will go toward facilitator and speakers' lodging, airfare, and programming for the retreat as well as RoA practicum. The retreat is part of the training of the Fellows in personal, relational, and spiritual formations. The RoA practicum will bring together young leaders from around the world to bring solidarity for envisioning reconciliation and peace on the Korean peninsula. Your donation will help to equip a next generation of workers to catch a vision for peace and reconciliation on the peninsula.
You may also choose to give regularly toward the Reah general fund. The fundraising drive will continue through Giving Tuesday (November 29, 2022), but donations will be accepted on an on-going basis until the end of the year.
River of Ahava Practicum 2024
We invite you to join the 2024 River of Ahava (RoA) Practicum in South Korea for an exciting journey from Friday September 20th to Tuesday October 1st, 2024. RoA practicum is for English and Korean speaking people from all walks of life between the ages of 18-30 who are committed to peace and reconciliation on the Korean Peninsula from all over the world. Through this practicum, it is our prayer that we will build friendships, break down barriers, see opportunities for networking and learning more about what God may have in store for us! The Lausanne Congress 4 (L4) is part of the practicum which takes place from September 22nd to 28th. This cost of L4 is separate.
Empower Change-Makers: Send Fieldworkers to Empower
COVID has seen the scattering of fieldworkers from North Korea to places all over the world. We are raising scholarships so that 20 fieldworkers and their families will be able to attend Empower Korea.
The cost of travel and admissions can be prohibitive for many of our fieldworkers. With your generous support, we can ensure their voices are heard, collaboration is fostered within the Body, and awareness around the work in North Korea can be built.
Reah International provides this platform to donate to specific projects. To donate to our Korean bank account, please use Kookmin Bank: 004401-04-186552.
